The problem is usually not intelligence or memorisation. The language has simply not been activated in real situations yet.
في أول حصة، قال لي أحد طلابي:
In the first lesson, one of my students told me:
“أنا فاهم العربي… بس لما أتكلم أتوقف.”
“I understand Arabic… but when I try to speak, I freeze.”
وده شيء شائع جدًا عند متعلمي اللغة.
And this is very common among language learners.
الطالب كان يعرف كلمات كثيرة، ويفهم لما يسمع.
The student knew many words and understood when listening.
لكن المشكلة لم تكن في الفهم.
But the problem was not understanding.
المشكلة كانت في استخدام الكلمات في موقف حقيقي.
The problem was using the words in a real situation.
لذلك لم نركز على الحفظ فقط.
So we did not focus only on memorization.
بدأنا بجمل قصيرة ومواقف بسيطة.
We started with short sentences and simple situations.
كيف تطلب شيئًا؟
How do you order something?
كيف تعرّف نفسك؟
How do you introduce yourself?
كيف تجاوب بسرعة؟
How do you answer quickly?
ومع التكرار، بدأ الكلام يصبح أسهل.
With repetition, speaking became easier.
الثقة لا تأتي من حفظ الكلمات فقط.
Confidence does not come only from memorizing words.
الثقة تأتي من استخدام اللغة.
Confidence comes from using the language.
